She obtained his BA in Psychology from the University of Costa Rica (2003) and his MA and PhD in Psychology from Clark University, Massachusetts, United States (2005 and 2008, respectively). She is an associate professor at the University of Costa Rica, where she works at the School of Psychology and at the Institute for Psychological Research. He also teaches courses in the Latin American Doctorate in Education and in the Master in Cognitive Sciences at the University of Costa Rica.
Obtuvo su licenciatura en Psicología en la Universidad de Costa Rica (2003) y su maestría y doctorado en Psicología en Clark University, Massachusetts, Estados Unidos (2005 y 2008, respectivamente). Es profesora catedrática de la Universidad de Costa Rica, donde trabaja en la Escuela de Psicología y en el Instituto de Investigaciones Psicológicas. Imparte además cursos en el Doctorado Latinoamericano en Educación y en la Maestría en Ciencias Cognoscitivas de la Universidad de Costa Rica.
